25. There's Nothing Small AIbout it.
Thursday, Feburary 21, 2013
It’s that time of year when Thinking Bigger Business holds its 25 Under 25® event and selects the top 25 businesses that display financial stability, community involvement, an inspiring company vision and the ability to overcome obstacles, adversity and challenges. Nominations are accepted from the business community from August to October. Nominated companies must have fewer than 25 employees, be more than three years old and be located in Greater Kansas City.
A pre-gala event for the 25 honorees, sponsors, judges and the 25 Under 25® advisory committee was held in mid-February at Missouri Bank's downtown branch. The event allowed the 25 finalists to meet fellow honorees.
Kelly Scanlon, owner and publisher of Thinking Bigger, spoke at the event. In her speech, she quoted an article that ran in USA Today. "Small business is the most trusted institution in America. More than churches. More than colleges. More than technology companies. And certainly more than labor unions or large corporations," Scanlon said.
We are proud to recognize four companies that were included on the list of honorees: Midland Metal, ReTouch, Sharma-Crawford Attorneys at Law and TK Architects International. Since its inception 12 years ago, the 25 Under 25® program has honored more than 300 businesses.
The event was catered by Lon Lane Inspired Occasions and flowers were donated by Studio Dan Meiners. A special thanks to our sponsors: Twin Financial, Metzler Bros. Insurance and Lon Lane Inspired Occasions.Prev->> <<-Next
