How are my payments sent?
Payments may be
made one of two ways at our option, either as an electronic payment or
as a paper payment.
An electronic payment causes a transfer from your checking
account to the payee account on the payment date you specify. A paper
payment causes funds to be transferred from your checking account to a
Missouri Bank clearing account. Missouri Bank then issues a check on your
behalf, on the date you have specified, and mails it to the payee. The
payee handles the payment as a regular paper check.
Is the information I enter into Missouri Bank
Bill Pay safe?
Yes. Your information
is safeguarded using industry-tested encryption methods. You select your
password and you may change it at anytime. You will be required to change
it every 6 months.
Are there any payments I cant make using
my Missouri Bank Bill Pay service?
You cannot use
Bill Pay for alimony, child support or other court-directed payments.
You also cannot use Bill Pay to make tax payments. The payee must have
a U.S. postal address.

When should I set up my payments to make sure
they are paid on time?
Bill Pay service
will eliminate the time-consuming chore of writing and mailing checks,
but you still need to provide enough lead time so your payments get to
the payee on time. We suggest you set the payment date at least seven
(7) business days in advance of the due date to allow for payment processing.
Remember to only include business days in your calculations. Do not include
Saturdays or Sundays; if your payment falls on a Saturday or Sunday, use
Friday as your payment date.
Can I determine my bill payment date using
the "late date" or "grace period"?
No. Always use
the "Due Date" when determining your bill payment date.
How will I know what payments have been made?
Once a payment
has been made, you will be able to view it through your Internet Banking
service. The payment will also be itemized on your monthly bank statement.
Keep in mind that we only make the payments you authorize. You are in
control of your account at all times.
What if my payee says they have not received
my payment?
As a general rule,
you should allow 7 business days (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) for
a payee to process your payment. If your payee reports that payment has
not been posted, notify Missouri Bank at 816-881-8270. We will provide
proof of payment that you may forward to your payee.
What about the payment stubs I usually send
back with my check?
Recycle them!
Well provide all the information your payee needs to process your
payments from the information you provide to us when you create the payment.

Do I need to contact my payees to tell them
Im using Missouri Bank Bill Pay services?
No, not at all.
Using our Internet Bill Pay service will not change the way your payments
are credited or how money is moved through your accounts.
Should I enter my internet bill payments in
my paper check register?
Yes. Enter your
bill payments into your Missouri Bank check register or into your financial
management software system (i.e. Quicken or Microsofts Money) just
like you would an ATM withdrawal or a regular check payment.
What happens if my account does not have adequate
funds to pay the bills I have set up?
Despite the many
advantages of our Bill Pay service, you still need sufficient funds in
your Missouri Bank checking account to cover the payments you authorize.
If you request a payment for more than the balance in your account, you will be sent a notice, your account will be charged an insufficient funds
fee and you will need to make other arrangements to make your payment.
